Aperitiv - Restaurant Reservation
THE OVERVIEW
Aperitiv was built as a modern dining platform that goes beyond simple table booking. It combines reservations, restaurant and event discovery, social engagement, and operational tooling so users and teams can work inside a single connected ecosystem.
THE CHALLENGE
The biggest engineering challenge was coordinating a multi-surface architecture (web, mobile, and API) while maintaining consistent user state, performance, and reliability. We addressed this with TypeScript-first contracts, centralized API services, reusable UI primitives, secure auth flows, and scalable list/feed patterns including infinite loading.
ACHIEVEMENTS
Delivered a complete restaurant reservation ecosystem with cross-platform consistency, improved discovery and engagement through social/community features, enabled faster operations with admin dashboards and analytics, and strengthened reliability and security via JWT token rotation, rate limiting, and validated API flows.

Implements JWT access/refresh authentication, token rotation, password reset, rate limiting, and role-based access control in the backend API.

Ships as a Next.js web application and an Expo React Native mobile app, both connected to the same backend API for consistent product behavior.
